Request for a school outreach
Everest and her handler love to educate the public about the importance of preventing the introduction and spread of invasive species. Between training and conducting inspections, they give demonstrations to the general public, school kids, and business professionals.
If you go to school in Santa Clara County and think your class would like to see a presentation by Everest, send us an e-mail at [email protected].
Agriculture in the classroom
If teachers are interested in incorporating agricultural themed lessons in the classroom, they can visit California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom.
The California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom, a nonprofit organization, provides educators with low cost and free materials, training, and information to increase the awareness and understanding of agriculture among California’s educators and students. Materials are for classroom use and may be reproduced with credit given to CFAITC.
